HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Health Effects:
Acute
Swallowed: Swallowing may cause gastrointestinal irritation
Eye: May cause mild irritation
Skin: Contact may cause mild discomfort on prolonged contact
Inhaled: Inhalation of mists may cause minor respiratory irritation
Chronic: No chronic effects of overexposure are currently known
First Aid:
Swallowed: If the patient is conscious, rinse out mouth with water and have the patient drink a glass
of water or milk to dilute the material. Transport to the hospital for care.
Eye: Wash continuously with water for 15 minutes. Keep eyes open and eyelids raised, to be
sure material is rinsed out. Transport to hospital for further medical attention.
Skin: Remove any contaminated clothing. Rinse the contacted area with water then wash with
soap and water. Wash clothing before reuse.
Inhaled: If it occurs, remove patient to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult give oxygen. Seek medical attention.
First Aid Facilities: Safety shower and eye bath

Exposure Standards: No exposure standard established
Engineering Controls: Use general room ventilation or local exhaust.
Personal Protection: Respiratory protection is not normally needed. Standard laboratory latex or rubber
gloves, chemical splash goggles and normal laboratory work clothing.
