Emergency Overview: CAUTION! Irritant
Causes eye irritation. May cause skin irritation, respiratory tract
irritation, kidney damage, central nervous system depression. May
be absorbed through skin.
Section 4: First Aid Measures
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting, call a physician immediately.
Skin Contact: Remove any contaminated clothing. Rinse the contacted area with
water, then wash with soap and water. Wash clothing before
reuse. Seek medical aid if irritation develops or persists.
Eye Contact: In case of contact, flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at
least 15-20 minutes. Raise eyelids to be sure material is rinsed
out. Call a physician.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial
respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician.

sopropyl Alcohol, as a raw material, is flammable. This product, as provided, is not a significant
hazard to consumers. This product is not flammable upon further review of labeling criteria in
16CFR1500.3(c)(6)(ii)(B) and review of the MSDS information.

Section 6: Accidental Release Measures
Spill Procedure: Ventilate area. Remove all ignition sources. Wear personal
protective equipment as indicated in Section 8. Take up spill or leak
with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth).
Section 7: Handling and Storage
Handling Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Avoid contact
with eyes, skin, and clothing. Empty containers retain product residue;
therefore, treat as if it contained product. Avoid contact with heat,
sparks and flame. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.
Storage: Store according to package and label instructions. Avoid heat, sparks
and flames (ignition sources). Avoid contact with oxidizing agents.
Storage area should be well ventilated, cool and dry.
Section 8: Exposure Control and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Ventilation: Use general room or exhaust ventilation to keep airborne
concentrations below permissible exposure limits (OSHA, TWA
400ppm, ACGIH, STEL, 500ppm).
Respiratory Protection: Generally not required. In conditions of fumes or vapor generation, use
an appropriate NIOSH/OSHA approved respirator.
Eye Protection: Eye irritant. Standard laboratory/chemical safety goggles or face shield
recommended.
Gloves: Liquid impervious gloves
Other: Protective clothing as appropriate. Avoid prolonged or repeated
exposure. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Appearance: Clear, colorless solution.

Conditions to Avoid: Stable under normal conditions. Avoid excess heat, ignition sources
and incompatible materials.

Incompatibilities: Strong oxidizers, acetaldehyde, chlorine, ethylene
oxide, acids and isocyanates, hydrogen + palladium, nitroform, oleum,
phosgene, potassium t-butoxide, oxygen, trinitromethane, barium
perchlorate, tetrafluoroborate, chromium trioxide, sodiuim dichromate +
sulfuric acid, aluminum and aluminum isoperoxide + crotonaldehyde, 2-
butanone, hydrogen peroxide. Isopropyl alcohol has been reported to
be susceptible to autoxidation and therefore must be considered
peroxidizable.

Carcinogenic Effects This material is not known to cause cancer in animals or humans.
Toxicity: Oral, mouse: LD50 = 3600 mg/kg; oral rabbit: LD50 = 6410 mg/kg; oral,
rat: LD50 - 5045 mg/kg Dermal, rabbit: LD50 = 12800 mg/kg
Tests on laboratory animals indicate material may produce adverse
mutagenic and reproductive effects.

Environmental Fate: This product has a low potential to affect aquatic organisms, secondary
waste treatment microorganisms, and the germination and growth of
some plants. Product is readily biodegradable and is not expected to
